Description
Taleggio cheese is a semi-soft, creamy cheese originating from Lombardy. It is made from both unpasteurized and pasteurized milk. Despite its intense aroma, the cheese is relatively mild and fruity in taste. Unlike other cheeses, Taleggio has a rectangular block shape. The cheese matures for 6 to 10 weeks. It is protected by the DOP (Denominazione Origine Protetta) designation, which is awarded to high-quality products closely linked to their place of origin and production.
