Description
In the original, gorditas are small breads that are stuffed with various fillings. Freshly baked, they are sliced open to create a pocket for favorite ingredients. Gorditas are prepared fresh so that the risen bread can be cut. In our version, gorditas - fresh boats, mini tortillas - are identical to the dish tacos. Wheat cakes are used similarly to tacos, meaning they are held in hand to form a boat/shell and filled with various toppings.
