In 1662, Château Meyney was a monastery. Archives refer to it as Couvent des Feuillants or Prieuré des Couleys. Meyney is one of the oldest estates in Médoc. The estate remained in the same family for several generations before being taken over by D.Cordier in 1919 and is currently owned by CA Grands Crus. Chateau Meyney 2019 shows a fresh, ripe, and focused style of the vintage. The aromas are dominated by blackcurrant, cherry, rose petals, and white pepper. On the palate, it is full, with a smooth, powdery tannin and lively acidity. Excellent to open now but also with great aging potential.
