The flagship interpretation of Grand Cru Classe. The label illustrates a reproduction of a small glass Bacchus from the eighteenth part of the private collection of the Wine Museum in the Château Mouton-Rothschild. The wine has a deep color with a hint of garnet. A rich, full nose opens with aromas of blackberries and marzipan. After aeration, the initial fruits are complemented by notes of spices and dark chocolate. A strong and well-organized attack reveals peppery and slightly minty flavors, leading to the mid-palate reinforced by elegant and dense tannins on notes of roasted coffee beans and licorice. A long and smooth finish completes an extraordinarily harmonious wine.
