Acaibo is a true fusion of Bordeaux style and California wine thinking and terroir. The name Acaibo is a blend of Bordeaux and California cultures. In the dialect of North American Indians, ACA refers to fish and water, the most basic resource for grape growing in Sonoma. The second syllable, IBO, means three, which besides being a symbol of harmony of creation, refers to the Bordeaux Lurton family's roots (the Bordeaux arms are three intertwined crescents), but also to their three children, their three Classified Growths, and the three Bordeaux grape varieties chosen for the Acaibo blend. Deep ruby-purple color. The nose absolutely forbids a harmonious combination of dark fruit notes, licorice, cinnamon, and cedar wood accents. On the palate, it is full and abundant. Finished with a pleasant salty minerality. A wine with enormous aging potential, though it already tastes exceptional today.
