AGING 20 months in new French oak barrels, followed by 3 months in large foudre barrels (22 hl) made of Allier oak. TASTING NOTE Deep, intensely red color with dark purple reflections. The bouquet is dominated by dark, earthy aromas with a distinct presence of black fruits, enriched with balsamic, mineral, cocoa, and smoky notes. On the palate, the wine is intense and rich, with very delicate tannins. Long finish with an elegant aftertaste of plum and chocolate. The structure of the wine allows for further aging in the bottle. SERVING SUGGESTIONS Pairs excellently with smoked meats and dishes prepared over fire, ideal for typical Rioja lamb chops from the grill. Also excellent with truffle dishes or cheese-based dishes.
