AGING The wine ages for 24 months in barrels, 50% from French oak and 50% from American oak, and then for another 3 months in large French oak vats with a capacity of 22,000 liters. Before being released to the market, it rests for a minimum of 3 years in the bottle. TASTING NOTE Shiny, cherry-red color. The bouquet is extremely complex and layered. The nose reveals aromas of spices, reductive notes with a subtle hint of leather and smoke. Barrel aging brings aromas of cocoa, toast, and coffee. On the palate, the wine enchants from the first sip, it is full, elegant, and well-balanced, with a distinct yet pleasant acidity. Velvety tannins give it a smooth, fresh character and a long, satisfying finish. SERVING SUGGESTIONS It pairs excellently as a companion to sophisticated appetizers as well as fine dining dishes. It goes well with all kinds of meats, stews, vegetables, and cheeses.
