Pikeperch is a lean fish with low fat content. It is characterized by white, delicate, and very tasty meat with a not too intense fish aroma. It contains beneficial health components: selenium, vitamin D, and B12.
Smaller specimens can be baked whole, grilled, or in the oven, in a salt crust or with herbs. It pairs excellently with vegetables, both hot and cold, for example in jelly. It enjoys various sauces, such as with capers or mayonnaise. It can be seasoned with dill, paprika, thyme, or parsley.
